AlpX announce new storefront at the Carleton Lodge to deliver summer alpine experiences  

Unparalleled adventure in Whistler’s high alpine terrain  

WHISTLER, British Columbia – May 27, 2024 – AlpX, the adventure tourism division of Blackcomb Helicopters, is excited to unveil its new storefront location at Carleton Lodge, offering guests an opportunity to book an extraordinary suite of summer alpine experiences. 

AlpX is renowned for its uniquely curated adventures. Locals and guests will be wowed by the summer opportunities these products provide to explore remote backcountry areas in new ways.

Guests and locals can now enjoy the following summer experiences in Whistler:  

  • Heli-Biking: Experience 9-12 km of incredible backcountry mountain biking on Whistler’s only sanctioned heli-biking trail Hidden Peak. With options for both Advanced and Expert skill levels and a mix of technical and flow trail sections, there is a wide variety for all riders to experience some of Whistler’s best downhill riding.    

  • Heli Sightseeing: Soar over dramatic glaciers and high alpine peaks. Helicopter sightseeing tours are a must for the whole group when visiting Whistler and are available year-round. The mountains change with every season, and guests can find themselves standing atop a peak on select tours!    

  • Heli Picnic & Paddle: Enjoy a scenic flight and private gourmet picnic lunch beside a remote alpine lake, nestled under some of Whistler’s highest peaks.     

  • Heli Hiking: Reach new heights, beat the crowds, and combine the thrill of a stunning helicopter tour with a guided alpine hike in harder to reach terrain. Embrace the peace and beauty of a hike tailored to your goals. 

  • AlpX Yurt: Take a trip to the remote alpine and get away from the rest of the world for a breather. With a comfortable home in the hills, you’ll have a private space to make some great meals, spend time in the alpine meadows with friends or family.

Heli Sightseeing tours, complete with a mountaintop landing, are available year-round. Backcountry Heli Biking, Heli Picnic and Paddleboarding, and Heli Hiking tours will be available in the summer, providing many options for guests looking to experience Heli assisted adventures. These trips will be ready for lift off in July, conditions permitting, and will run until early Fall. Guests can visit the AlpX space in the Carleton Lodge to reserve their seats today.
